Wireless Monitor

Wireless MonitorWireless Monitor Systems

The world is changing screens. Highlights:

We have tested and taken to a new and superior wireless monitor.
Sony has stopped making the CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitor on the ground that have been used for many years and is switching to LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) models only
We now offer a Panasonic 17-inch high-definition standard definition LCD monitor

WEVI CAM-WAVE wireless LCD Marshall
This month we take delivery of a new wireless LCD monitor system. We used Black Box wireless links with Teletest Optex and LCD monitors. We have never been so happy with this association due to frequent breaks in the signal and a lack of robustness with monitors, but we were not aware of any other system. Well, another is available and we are very optimistic, it is a dramatic improvement that we have ordered 15 of them. We expect delivery by the end of January.

The new system uses a transmitter WEVI CAM-wave and the receiver, which transmits and receives video and audio using the wireless LAN system used with computers WiFi wireless networking. In the tests we did we found this to give more stable and consistent signal that the RF system used in black boxes. We had virtually no break while walking with the camera remote monitoring and on several occasions. However, we have often been upset with the black boxes in the same conditions.

There is a delay of about half a second between images transmitted and received, but we do not have a problem with that and did not one of the most demanding customers, we asked. The ability to also monitor the sound with the same kit is a great attraction. No need to stream audio to an independent director with a radio microphone mixer or a camcorder.

You can get the technical characteristics of the CAM-WAVE WEVI visiting www.wevi.tv.

We're changing the brand of LCD monitors, we used. The monitors that we've used so far are what was available and agreed. But again, they impressed us. The 7-inch Marshall V-R70DP is another story. It is made in the United States by Marshall Electronics. It is a sturdy piece of kit and testing we did it feel to be more reliable than other LCD monitors laptop. He was also a most beautiful image with increased resolution.

This increase in reliability has a price. The combination WEVI Marshall is heavier and more expensive. But these are minor inconveniences for what we believe is a superior and more reliable.

The transmitter fits on the battery mounting the rear of the camcorder which means you do not fix it or Velcro on the side of the camcorder. The battery is then mounted directly on the issuer and the powers of the camcorder battery and transmitter. This eliminates the need for a power cable.

The Director shall make the screen with a Marshall receiver heavier and CAM-WAVE with two antennas and a small footprint IDX Endura battery 7s. Also monitor the audio, a special cable that goes into a small amplifier must be made. It's more to do, but we have special bags custom made to make it comfortable to carry the larger load and again, we are convinced that this is a much better system.

The jury is out and I hope that my optimism is premature. If you want to test this new system of phone Dennis or John on 020 7622 9888 and arrange to come and do.

Sony is only now LCD Monitors
If you go to the Sony Web site (www.sonybiz.net) and look PVM series CRT monitors as widely used as long as I remember, you will find "This model is discontinued" next to each of them. To replace the Sony LMD series now offers the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitors. There are a number of reasons for this, but high among them is the fact.
