The safety car seats

I ran across a very emotional video this past month to more than YouTube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azgBhZfcqaQ&NR) about the death of a child because his seat Seat belt / failed. Since that time, I was the kind of mission about the car seat I recently bought my house.

It all started because my twin nephews came for a month-long tour of California and while here, one of them had a growth spurt which meant a new car seat. Fortunately, I had the chance to get the Radian80 by Sunshine Kids Juvenile Products (http://skjp.com).

Initially, the car seat Radian80 returned home with my sister-in-law, but the more I thought about the video I watched, the more I read on the naivety of others regarding car seats , plus my sister-in-law and I understand that maintaining the car seat for when I kept the children of parents and friends was a good idea, that way I'd be a responsible guardian .

Gung Ho on the car seat Radian80, I decided to write a review on this course on our blog (http://thedabblingmum.blogspot.com/2007/06/review-radian-80-car-seat. html). A few months later, this examination is still the most popular post on my blog.

Suffice it to say, the seat warm Radian80 receives a recommendation from me. It grows with your child, the straps are adjustable, it is passed crash tests, and it may even go on an airplane. And my nephew, and let me tell you that once we have him in the car seat, he would not return to his old car seat. In fact, if we tried to put it in the old car seat, he panicked. After a week of using the car seat Radian80, the house of my sister-in-law called and suggested that her husband take two seats new car before returning.

Now, I do some posts on the car seat on various blogs and forums, while promoting my parents magazine, I know shameless plug! But in an ironic, it's a good thing because it's me reconnect with my audience's parents!

Anyway, if you're serious about protecting your children in your car while I like to make some suggestions?

1. Before buying a new car seat, whether it was recalled because of safety concerns. You can do this by visiting the following links: http://www.cpsc.gov/ and http://www.carseat.org/Recalls/recall.shtml (And do not forget to check to see if your car seat belt Security can be defected. http://www.seatbeltdefects.com)
2. When you do not know what car seat to pick up, visit the forums (as http://car-seat.org/) where parents discuss these issues. Knowing what other parents think, what they have had experiences, and why they decided how they could help you make an informed decision.
3. Understand how car seats are supposed to work and be installed. If in doubt, consult your instruction manual, visit sites such as Keep Kids Healthy (or http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/WELCOME/safety/car_seats_safety http://www.lpch.org/forPatientsVisitors/ CommunityResources / fittingStation.html), visit inspection stations car seats (http://www.seatcheck.org/), or visit your local police, they often have programs to help ensure that children are properly restrained.
4. Always make sure the car seat you buy fits properly in your vehicle.
5. Always make sure the car seat purchase is the size and weight of your child.
6. When the straps on the seat your child becomes too tight, or your child has difficulty sitting in his comfortable seat, do not wait. Go out and buy a car seat that fits your child! Take the belt Fit Test (http://www.usa.safekids.org/CPSWeek2006/documents/safety-belt-test.pdf)
7. If seat belts in your car is not working properly, take your car and have set, they could really tell the difference input.
