These reports have been found in a study by a mother whose own two year old son fell into a pool discovered on vacation.

The survey also revealed that nearly one quarter of parents feel they have been on family holidays where no basic safety equipment or materials were provided.

Parents interviewed in this survey were also asked to rank the safety features of holidays in order of importance. pools attached top the list, followed by playgrounds closed stairgates, lifeguards, electrical outlet covers and baby monitors.

However, holidays that parents had been on young children, only 45.7% had closed the swimming pools, 28.7% had stairgates and only 16.1% had electrical outlet covers.

It is a fact, most vacation properties are not designed with children in mind. Parents go to great lengths to make their homes, but the safety of children the same precautions are not generally in place on a holiday.
