Severe Diaper Rash What is the best remedy for the house of a severe diaper rash? My son (16 months) has a severe diaper rash. I can not afford to go to the doctor. Is what I can do to help it heal faster? I already changed when he peed / poo and its air drying down and putting on a lot of cream for the seat. What can I do? Try to leave his bed for much of the day off and just as possible to let air get to work. Also, do not use commercial wipes as they can irritate the rash further. If you have layers to it right away so it is completely dry. I was told to use a hair dryer on low heat for a minute or two. Another thing that can be an issue of concern is whether the rash is caused by yeast infection. If this is the case you will need antifungal ointment. Talk to a pharmacist, they can be useful in such situations extermly. Good luck to you. I understand that you can not pay doctors. But you could go all the more so that you tried. My 20 months is the same way. I had to take him to the doctor on Saturday because of a severe diaper rash. I tried everything (Lotrimin, cornstarch, soaking in the bath, no wipes, time nude). She had to take on a cause oral antibiotic, she began to have fever. I would consult a doctor. If you really can not afford a doctor because of lack of income in the household have you thought of applying for Medicaid? I know that many people do not want to take charity, etc., but you do what you have to do for your baby. But consult a doctor. How is curable diaper rash ointment that contains zinc (10% or 20% or 40%). All three hours to change the layer and apply the cream generously with Vaseline (more). Diaper every 3 hours. It takes overnight after applying zinc ointment. The most important and I can not stress this enough ... discontinue use towelettes. Seriously. My son had a right layers really bad rash around his anus when he was first born. It was nearly as yeast, because he was breastfed while he was crapping like 10 times a day if the skin is terribly angry. My doctor told me (I know that you have no money to do, but this is what I said) to stop using wipes, use a soft, damp towel even wet with a few drops of baby soap. Then he gave me a prescription for a cream, I know you can not do things now, but please stop using the wipes. Try some A & D ointment (instead of diaper rash cream) to help heal the present eruption. Use it finely. Also, make sure his onesies are not too small, keeping the layer crushed against him well ... Would you look to put us to work as soon as possible. I do not use more prescription cream, but when I see signs of redness to my son, I just dab a little A & D, stop using the wipes for a few days and usually disappears immediately. Good luck, my best for your son and his butt hurt. If it does not go away, it is possible he has a yeast infection there. Okay this is what most people say works best is the rash creams. My baby has a very bad rash and I tried them and none of them worked, I discovered my mother, my grandmother and my great-grandmother's the best thing to do is of cornstarch, you need all.
