Play Yard Mattress

Play Yard Mattressplayard mattress too uncomfortable?

I've got a playground Evenflo. my son of 9 months. the mattress is too uncomfortable. is a piece of plastic without cushion. i wouldnt even call it a mattress. it is a piece of plastic with a cloth over it. my son wont sleep on this. I was in the stores to find a mattress park and find nothing. help!

My stepmother is a mattress to go to the playground. She took a piece of foam egg cartons and cut to size and shaped a pillow case with a piece of fabric to slide in. If you can not sew you could probably do the same thing with Velcro strong and sure to put the Velcro side in the crib. My daughter slept on it for months like that.

You can also buy a mattress Porta. It fits perfectly in the pack and play. I have a Porta bed we bought for our daughter, not knowing that if we just buy the mattress that would have worked fine. We have just returned from a weekend vacation and my son is 13 months, we had to sleep in the pack and play with mattresses Porta. What's also nice is that the pack and play sheets fit the mattress well. I would also get a mattress for her or you can simply use a blanket so he is not lying on the mattress with just a sheet. I read somewhere that the chemicals in the mattresses to make them flame resistant may be the cause of SIDS, so I put a mattress and a blanket on the mattress so that the custom mattress wet.

I hope this helps.

Honestly, I would not say that the problem is the mattress. If you have not noticed, your son probably falls asleep in the position most comfortable if they are tired enough (eg my nine month old was asleep when sitting w / her head between her legs. .. lol). He probably did not just want to sleep in the bed itself. I do not know why it would, but I would not waste your money on another mattress ... I'm fairly certain that is not the problem.

My son of 4 months sleeping in a pack n play every night. Somebody told me a pack "sheet that has been bitten play n target. I think you can get them from Walmart, even the website of the brand Pack 'N Play you have (ie Graco).
Here is a link to the leaves dotted the target. They are specially designed for the pack 'n plays. They can be ordered online.

They also pack for other brands n Play.

I agree with the orther who said to a foam mattress eggcrate, etc. But please be careful about how much filling you add .... at the age of your son, the risk of suffocation or SIDS is extremely low, but you should always be careful.

Good luck!

My MIL bought a piece of firm foam and sewed a blanket for him and we use it. We have a Pack n play in our motorhome for our 8 months to sleep in. Make sure it is really solid and it should not be a problem!

Put some blankets under the cushion. In this way, low platelets without him being able to enter the blankets.
