Organic Baby Items

I'm having my first baby and I think I might be becoming one of those paranoid moms new who reads everything she hears. I need to use cloth diapers to avoid dioxin, an organic mattress to avoid chemical flame retardants, etc. Does anyone know what the most important points for the baby are which must be organic? I'm not the kind of budget that will allow me to go 100% organic. Suggestions?

Certainly food. Breastfeeding and buy organic foods and baby cereal. Also, try to buy, not necessarily organic, but hypoallergenic laundry detergent, like Dreft. Oh, and another things soaps and shampoos are hypoallergenic.

The most important thing you can donor your newborn is breast milk! I would not worry too much about all this hype! I also buy organic foods and cleaners primarily to reduce toxins, but do not become one of those paranoid people who feel basically need to live in a bubble. Congratulations and enjoy your new baby!

USA Baby has a lot of organic elements. I believe Babys R Us and Target do as well.
Gerber made organic baby food and formula is organic and (if you need to supplement w / breastfeeding).

soy milk instead of regular milk formula (bottle). and healthier snacks instead of sugary or salty snacks.
