Newborn Skin Rash

A rash is a general term for a change of color or texture of the surface of your skin. Rashes can have a number of causes, including allergies, irritants, or illness. To assist in determining the cause of the rash, your health care provider will examine the rash and take into account other symptoms you might encounter, such as itching or fever. It is important to know where on your body the rash started, where it spread and when it appeared.

Scaly and itchy

At any moment in your life that you might develop a skin condition known as eczema that causes scaly, itchy red rash. Eczema can occur in anyone at any age and for many different reasons, but eczema is composed of several types of skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis and contact dermatitis.

Dry skin rash

The rash most common among adults is the rash of dry skin. Having dry skin can cause rashes to develop because of the drought. Dry skin is easily irritated, especially during cold and dry. However they are only triggers. The skin becomes extremely itchy and inflamed, causing redness, swelling, cracking, weeping, crusting and scaling. This type of rash comes and goes, even with the drugs out. However, when the skin is subjected to excessive scratching, the skin may become infected.

Ringworm

Ringworm is a circular rash with raised edges. There are usually one and it is caused by a fungal infection, and not by a worm. It can occur anywhere on the body and everybody can get one. Ringworm is contagious. Dogs and cats can be carriers. There are prescription drugs for ringworm, but your doctor if it worsens or spreads or occurs on the scalp can cause hair loss.

Adult Chickenpox

Chickenpox or varicella is an adult disease that affects the skin and is caused by the varicella-zoster virus. The virus belongs to the family of herpes virus. Most people acquire chickenpox when they were children, but this skin problem can also occur in adulthood. Chickenpox is more likely in tropical countries. Over 90 percent of people worldwide are infected with varicella during their life unless they are vaccinated against this disease.

Newborn Rash

Although we tend to think about having children "perfect" skin, in fact, the rash is very common in newborns (babies less than one month). They can be bumps or scaly patches, they can appear on the scalp, face, body and buttocks. Most rashes are not cause for concern, but some rashes need attention from a physician.

Eczema

Eczema or dermatitis (its medical term) is a group of skin conditions that can affect all the age groups. Up to one fifth of all school-age children have dermatitis, with about one in twelve of the adult population.
