Decorate nursery ladybug theme, Need ideas?! Our baby is due in April and we have limited space.
We can not find nursery ladybug printed bedding that we like and we will of pink / green crib bedding, we will paint the dresser and changing table with a ladybug theme. I just need people to help me with creative ideas.
I want to be red ladybugs and black or dark pink and black, but the other main colors are pink and green.
Ladybirds are so easy to draw, if! Why not practice some drawing on a sheet of paper. When you get a nicer (and get good at doing), he pinned to the bed of white baby bedding to get an idea of how you want them. Then with a pencil or a washable marker (you can get this in the fabric stores - they wash right, and are used for marking darts and things), a sketch of your bug. Then he makes the fabric with paint, and you have a unique bed that will be absolutely safe.
For a small lamp (useful for evenings rocking baby to sleep or eat), you can use wooden tulips "at the base and paint them any way you like. Me think that the addition of a border of flowers would be super-cute, and he goes with ladybugs naturally. I also love the "round the ceiling in a sky blue" kind of thing, but it may be too cliche.
Oh, if you find you can not draw ladybugs, find some cute fabric with ladybugs. Iron it on a support (fusion? Interface? I'm sorry I can not remember what it's called), the cut, then finish the edges with one of these fluids on finishing. You can put this on a dresser, walls, dressing tables. I would not put it where baby can reach it, because it could be a choking hazard. So do not attach to the bed until you sew firmly secured (as with a zig-zag).
It is easy to make the borders of the tissue coverage, too, as you can find a nice fabric.
Personally, I let the red if you go w / pink / green. I would stay with me if it was pink.
You can get really cute pink material for curtains, as Vichy, and green as well. If you know someone who sews, or you sew, so it is super easy to make valances for windows. You can also use the material in the other color to the main line of wicker baskets to store under the table for changing diapers and toiletries, etc.
In addition, great ideas for wall hangings is to take a piece of scrapbook paper and use it as background in a picture frame. Maybe get stickers that are letters and spell the name of your baby and insert a photo of her in the center.
Ladybirds are very popular, so you "should" be able to find a ladybug decor most shops I think.
It appears that you have a really cute nursery.
Congratulations on the new baby!
Cute!
How about foam stamps? I know I saw those craft stores, and they are cheap.
You can use acrylic craft paint for use on hard surfaces (the wall, even) and fabric paint to embellish plain fabrics ... a border on a curtain, for example.
You can also use them to create art ... either on canvas or fabric ... and then supervise them.
Since you already green in the litter, perhaps a few leaves, flowers, stems, etc. for ladybugs to sit? You can find stamps for those, too, or paint them freehand.
Could I give you a little advice before you go crazy with a theme, yes? It is very tempting to go overboard, but since the space is small, too many articles on the subject will feel cluttered and busy. Since you already have your theme element in the dresser and changing table can be just a ladybug here and there ... a ladybug and I think that the litter is not the theme is a great idea!
