Infant Bathtub Seat

Infant Bathtub SeatThe safety of babies in the bath

Bath time can be fun, but if you're not careful, it can be very dangerous. Slips, falls, burns and drownings are a few potential dangers hidden in the bathtub. Follow these guidelines to keep your little safe.

- Always check the temperature of the bath water. Water should be warm, not hot. Check water temperature with your wrist (and forearm) or use a thermometer (the temperature of the water must be 100 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the National Security Council).

- Make sure your thermostat is not hot water above 120 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent burns.

- Never leave your baby unattended ... not even one second.

- Conserve water in the bath to a minimum. Babies can drown in as little as one inch of water.

- Use a rubber mat in a bathtub for your baby and also one on the floor beside the tub to prevent slips and falls.

- Bath rings and bath seats can be reversed easily and / or jam, so watch your baby closely the use of these devices.

- Keep all potential toxic products (shampoo, soap, rinse conditioner, etc.) out of the reach of your baby.

- Use the nozzles to prevent bruises and cuts.

- If your bath has shower doors, make sure they are unbreakable.

Know the dangers and keep your baby safe while getting them squeaky clean. Bath time can be fun as long as we remember to take account of this advice and keep an eye on your baby. Have a good time Splashin splish!
