I have a small sink and a shower with a bath on different sites say different things, some say not to bathe you in all cats. So I thought I would ask here and get answers from peoples experiences rather than a website.

It depends on what purpose you want to take a shower with your cat. You should always start when they are young. Nevertheless, the general rules are: claw clip, 2 people to manage the cat (firm but gentle), hot water and reassurance to the cat. A bathtub is almost the only choice. Some cats tolerate being bath, especially Turkish Vans.

Try to use towels to dry your cat as a hair dryer can scare the crap out of the cat. The other option is called a dry cleaning, check with your local pet store. I have 2 cats, and bathe them every two months. At first, they hate them both, but after time they have become accustomed to baths. Prudence likely to remain in the bath while I bathe, she can meow a little, but goes well with them. Simba is nearly the same way.

My advice to you bathing your cat is first clip its claws with a pair of cat. Then brush and comb your cat's fur to get all debris, excess hair and tangles of the dress. When people hear, cats are cats, not children or even dogs.

Cats do not need baths. Most of them take great pleasure in themselves clean, and do clean if they are sick. They do not need our help not only horriblely for them, but you get your eyes scratched. You can also run the risk of making your cat ill since they run so fast from a bath, you will not be able to dry properly.

Unless your cat has a substance stuck in his fur, or needs a medicated bath for health reasons not bath the cat. You will be bleeding after, and your cat will be stressed beyond belief. Use baby wipes or wipes for cats if their fur is cool. It is also without water spray to put on it.
