Extreme Diaper Rash Extreme diaper rash?! When my son woke up to 9 months now, and I went to change it, I noticed he has a terrible case of diaper rash. He had before, a few bumps and a little redness, but nothing ever like that. We were treated with Desitin and A & D ointment (store brand from CVS), and it would usually disappear within a day or two. It was also diarrhea yesterday. It was blistering, almost back on his buttocks, which are bright red. The blisters are hard as scars, but wet so all the cream, I tried to put on it will not. I put baby powder on him recently to dry, but he cries every time I approach the region! It does not seem to bother him too much though, until I change it. What are the suggestions for treatment?
