Extreme Diaper Rash

Extreme Diaper RashExtreme diaper rash?!

When my son woke up to 9 months now, and I went to change it, I noticed he has a terrible case of diaper rash. He had before, a few bumps and a little redness, but nothing ever like that. We were treated with Desitin and A & D ointment (store brand from CVS), and it would usually disappear within a day or two. It was also diarrhea yesterday. It was blistering, almost back on his buttocks, which are bright red. The blisters are hard as scars, but wet so all the cream, I tried to put on it will not. I put baby powder on him recently to dry, but he cries every time I approach the region! It does not seem to bother him too much though, until I change it. What are the suggestions for treatment? Thank you for your help!

Your child will probably need to consult their physician / DC. Could it be a yeast infection? I hope it goes better for all involoved.

The best way to prevent diaper rash is not to have children! Flag

Is this a new brand of diapers? it could be an allergic reaction to the film, a new food, a irrational, or it could have a virus. That let the air crawl layers free for a while or try to move to a layer of fabric for a while. See him get into the Dr. just to be on the safe side.

Why is diarrhea? Has he started a new food or is it antibiotics? If he is on antibiotics, he may have developed a yeast infection. If yes, no cream for the seat to heal. Talk to your doctor nystatin wonders on curing yeast infections.

If diarrhea is a reaction to new foods, you must identify and stop to feed him. If she has a diaper rash Boudreaux's Butt Paste try. This is what I use on my daughter as a precaution and it has yet to develop a diaper rash. other moms say that Butt Paste Diaper Rash cures bad in 24 hours. You can find it at Wal-Mart, Walgreens and some grocery stores.

Meanwhile, to change diapers, drinking water and a washcloth instead of wipes. The alcohol in the wipes only compounds the already sensitive skin. You may want to Extra Strength Maalox on the buttocks and let air dry before putting on his coat. Do not forget to change his diaper more often than usual ... It is important for him not to sit in his urine or BM, especially if it is more acidic than usual.

I hope this helps ... sorry to hear about your son. I hope it disappears quickly.

sudocrem is good - put a little Vaseline on the top so that it constitutes an obstacle
after each change - alternate between sudocrem and zinc and castor oil

metanium and zinc ithcthommal are superb - Drapolene is another of my favorites.

fresh air is probably the best - but difficult with a child so young - are constantly changing diapers regualrly even if its not too wet - try blowing on the bottom as you change, it will reassure

Naked time! Seriously, let him play naked for a few hours and you will notice a significant improvement. Can you let play in the sun where you live? The sunlight can kill a lot of things that causes diaper rash.

My daughter had a severe case of diaper rash, so I made the switch to cloth diapers, and I have not dealt with a rash since! They're also cuter, cheaper, safer and easier (it's true).

Try treating with Lotrimin cream (jock itch cream). It may or may not help, but it will not hurt.

Is he drinking juice? If he is to prevail, and all other new foods, he had recently.

The same thing happens to my daughter sometimes. I put an antifungal cream on it the kind they use for athlete's foot. Then, a set Boudreaxs ov Butt Paste.
