Diaper Spray

Diaper SprayCould someone tell me how to control odors for a diaper pail?

We take walks outside in the trash every day. And we use spray air freshers day, but the actual diaper pail smells really bad. We even tried to stop using the diaper pail. It's just a standard diaper pail and we try not to have to spend $ in expensive "fancy diaper pail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have the corresponding field layer, which is your average diaper pail.

I soak once a week with Mr. own (the purple bottle, it has a pleasant smell), which really helps reduce odors. Then one day I spray down with Oust, interior and the handle, which is antibacterial spray. It really helps to eliminate odor.

In addition, before, when the smell became bad, I had been using large garbage bags, which was just emptied once a week. I started to use old plastic grocery bags, which hold less, so we had to empty it every two days or two and this helped as well.

Try cleaning the bucket with vinegar, it dries very well and put in the sun for several hours. I once read a blog about cloth diapers and that the suggestion has been to treat stains and odors, it is worth trying. Then I would put the baking soda or charcoal in the natural background before putting a bag in.

Here is my secret, I layer a genius and I use trash bags. But when I have an additional layer that stink, I put in a plastic grocery bag and get it out immediately. The wetter still smell after a few days, but by then the garbage bag is full.

Lysol!

Lysol spray and let it dry inside the diaper pail each time you empty the bag. Also the gas outside.

I also recommend going to a car shop in your area, as he was a child and buying a used "fancy diaper pail.

I have the Field of layers. They are impressive and do not require expensive refills or inserts. They take garbage bags. They typically cost $ 35 and $ 18 for news about the consignment shop.

Only time I noticed a smell coming from our diaper pail is empty when I went there. Every time I vacuum (btw I Field layers using garbage bags) I wipe or spray with Lysol or Clorox wipe the inside and outside. Then spray with oust spray. But the other posters had good idea about the baking soda or perhaps a stick em in it to help the smell.

Baking powder and wrap the layers in place as tight as possible ... it does help control the smell a bit more they are contained. My husband calls them the "brick layer". I have the Diaper Genie II. I love it. It is not 100% eliminate the smell, I do not think any light could ... but I'm satisfied.

On a side note - I save money on refills using only the pale for Poopy diapers. I put pee diapers in a regular trash can with a trash bag presented ...

you can try using a genius diapers, they are not that expensive or you can just keep taking them as you wish. To control odor, you should look for a completely new network. To try to get the smell of old now would be hopeless. Good luck!

Lysol and lots of it, in and out of the diaper pail until the bag itself goes inside and beyond.

We have a champion of layers, it uses garbage bags and we have not had a problem odor.

But I use a lot of Lysol when changing bags.

Give it a good cleaning, a little bleach and water or vinegar. It should take the right smell of diaper pail. You can also try putting a little baking soda in the bottom of the pan.

For a diaper pail odor non econonical I recommend the Field of layers ... I had mine for over 6 months and never washed and never smell, except when I change it. Me not use scented garbage bags in it.

The genius of layers is inexpensive.
