Beach Shade

Beach ShadeWhere can I take my newborn to the beach?

I will talk to the doctor Wednesday week 2 check-up. Can I take one week old 2.5 to the beach for an hour? I would put on sunscreen to keep it in one of these tents shade and keep the baby well hydrated. We live in Florida golf. I would not take him into the water yet.

I do not see how you wouldnt be able too. As long as you keep in the shade and often put sunscreen on her and keep her well hydrated I think it would be fine. Just keep it out of the sun.

seems kind of young ... but make sure and keep them in the shade at all times.even wear a hat.
even on cloudy days UV rays can burn delicate skin in particular, as a newborn. Also the hat over his ears is the wind ... I would be careful of wind hitting the face, ears.etc ..

Of course, everything does not abuse the sunscreen. I at least want to soak his feet in the water if they are not complete to take her in. ..

"There are two very important reasons not to take advantage of sunscreens among young infants:
Infants and children have what is called a high body surface area relative to volume. This means that proportionately babies have more skin for body size compared to an adult. Sunscreens are chemicals. In older children and adults, exposure to chemicals is relatively small because the ratio of body surface area is less than one baby. Therefore, babies are more "dose" of sunscreen than do older ones. Although this exposure would probably not cause any problems, the probability of an adverse reaction is greater.
Babies have a mildly impaired mechanism to cool off by sweating. In addition, they have a greater risk of suffering from dehydration due to heat. Sunscreen can somewhat impair effective cooling by perspiration, so placing too much of it on a child could be detrimental. "

I would like to avoid using sunscreen, and instead of his gown UV protective clothing and wide brimmed hat, stay in the shade if possible (the tent is a good idea) And let him feel the water on her feet, she was like: D
The first time at the beach make great pictures, so make sure you take your camera with you!

I would take baby to the beach at this age, but I do not think you are supposed to use sunscreen on a baby until at least 6 months. The baby probably sleep the whole time you are there, and I would like to bring your stroller and put the beat behind the scenes to completely block your child from sun / UV rays. Keep the wind out of him for you and if you're BM, make sure it is completely covered by the sun and stay in the shade. umbrellas are a good idea .. and keep the stroller parked below. (I took my boyfriend to the beach at 6 weeks .. I did)
