Baby Talcum Powder

I'm waxing my legs tonight! I read that you should put some baby powder (btw how?) And should I leave it on or wipe when I put the wax?

btw, can I take the tape to the back or at an angle of 90 degrees?

I wax all the time, I have never used baby powder. I do not really know how I draw is a fair bit back against the grain, closer to my skin ... In addition, washing with antibacterial soap, I found, makes less irritation when you're done.
