Baby Rash On Stomach

Baby Rash On StomachBaby heat rash - what do I do now?

My baby has heat rash - what do I do now? Other names - and red Miliaria Miliary

For the benefit of any new mother, I just want to reassure you that a rash of heat is not a terminal illness and it is not the result of carelessness! Be assured that the problem will be short and the information learned be beneficial.

We will discuss what causes the problem, why babies are more sensitive to that, how you can treat the condition and reduce the risk of it happening again.

Heat rash - Too Hot

A heat rash is the physical response that results when a baby becomes warmer. The obvious time for what you believe is in summer when the days are warm and humid. This is partly true. Please keep in mind that it is caused when a baby more heat and not just the time of the year.

That being the case this condition can also occur in the winter months as a result of a caring parent during training of the child or applying too many blankets, etc. The last thing I wanted for the baby cold so that we can tend to think that more clothing is best. It is easier than you may think.

Be reasonable and trust your common sense when dressing your baby. FOLLOW temperature and the sensation of your baby's skin will be more reliable guide. You can do this by simply placing your hand on the skin in the chest, back and groin. (You can warm your hands clean first). You can detect if the skin is feeling hot and dry, warm and moist or maybe not hot enough and then act accordingly.

More heated - why babies are sensitive?

Sweating is the mechanism that our body uses to cool. When a baby sweating too much heat rash may develop. The sweat glands of a baby are not yet fully developed and it makes it harder for their body to maintain ideal temperature.

When a baby sweating too much, the very tiny pores are too small for the amount needed to pass through. The pores begin to clog and sweat remains trapped heat causes a rash to develop.

Buttons heat - sensitive areas

Small red bumps start to grow and can sometimes become small vesicles as a result of sweat build.

The rash usually appears

  • chest, abdomen, back of neck
  • Small folds of skin on arms
  • underarms, legs and genitals
  • The eruption has a sense of the thorny.

Prickly Heat - How painful is it?

The parent is likely to be reached over their baby. Areas where the rash occurs may be slightly sensitive to touch. The rash is more likely to become itchy and irritation obvious to the child.

  • Cool the baby down by loosening or removing clothing. In hot baby, place it on a towel to absorb moisture. Keep the baby in a cool shade.
  • Start cooling the eruption with a damp cloth to help reduce itching. Place the baby in a warm bath

Suggestion: Some mothers report using 1 to 2 teaspoons of baking soda in the bath water soothes the irritation

Caution - Do not panic and put baby in cold water.

After bathing, gently dry skin. Do not apply creams and lotions because they are more likely to trap moisture rather than allowing it to flow through. Do not choose a fabric and clothing that tends to cling to the child. Choose a loose garment for additional COMFO.
