All In One Nappies

All In One NappiesWhat did you take him to the hospital?

So I do not really want to overpack if I decide I do not want to stay in the hospital. But at the same time, I want to make sure Ive got everything I need. I still need to buy things like snacks, etc., and even when I'm finally going to work there is still little of these patients need to put in my bag before leaving for the hospital example. phones, wallets, food and drink, a bag of toiletries (I do not want to pack my wallet, phone, makeup, toothpaste, shampoo etc., far more because I use these things every day again! ive yet had an appointment midwife if I can not put my maternity notes far either ..?) So my sorta bags of 3 quarters of the way packed lol.

So far, I've packed ...

Lots of underwear
socks
sarong
comfortable pj
few shirts Big T
a pair of Jandal (I heard that you might need in the showers)
loose pants and shorts in case I get hot
My bikini top (for the birthing pool)
my dressing gown
nursing pads
maternity pads

one holding the baby goes home
2 blankets baby warm
1 wrap swaddling
knitted hat and booties
2 singlets
Shirt
2 pants
a warm jacket for baby
two layers
Wipes
baby powder
baby lotion

Everything is in a large bag, then i guess ill just my handbag and all my little camera things wallet phone etc etc. ....

What you take and what you end up didn't need? or if you forget the things you want hadve taken? I love being organized and yes, this is my first bub im 38 weeks today =)

I took a lot less of you. I had a place for me to wear home. A place for my baby to wear home and a cute outfit for her image. I took his baby book for fingerprints. I wore a nightgown for me and extra socks. I had my cell phone, charger, camcorder and camera. I took the shampoo and conditioner, but I was too tired to take care of my hair. I'm lucky because mine is long enough I can remove it. I used my toothbrush and toothpaste.

My hospital provided almost everything. They gave me breast cream, tampons, diapers, wipes, blankets, baby pants (to use them, they are much more comfortable and you destroy your own), t-shirts for babies, etc.

Well, I too would like to maybe something that makes you comfortable, like a blanket or something special for you. You'll probably need something comforting.
Oh, and your boyfriend / husband may be good too. ;-)

Congratulations

To be honest, I thought I would need all that, but I ended up being at work for only 6 hours, the due date, and using epidural last one minute .. I returned 3 hours later and has not taken a shower there ... I live 30 minutes drive from the hospital ..

I ended up using my facial cleanser, moisturizer, toothbrush, socks, underwear, makeup, clothing, blankets to cover her up in her seat (she was born in November when he was cooler) and voila!

Good luck and especially Congratulations! :)
