3 Point Seat Belt

3 Point Seat BeltWhy you should wear a seatbelt

Although the wearing of seat belts is the number one security measure when it comes to traveling in a vehicle, accidents still occur because of the seatbelt is not worn. Drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts for many reasons. Some forget to wear them, while others are simply lazy to put on seat belts. After a while, it becomes a really bad habit.

Accidents can happen at any time, any day. Some accidents may be minimal, and some may be serious accidents. Drivers who do not wear seat belts often say that accidents do not happen to them if they are careful enough. But nothing could be further from the truth. Accidents do happen even to the most cautious of drivers. Because, sometimes, accidents are caused by factors beyond the control of drivers. For example, another drunk driver may be the cause of the accident.

Thus, the seat belts are there to help protect the drivers (and whoever is in the car) when accidents happen.

When accidents occur, especially if a car moving at high speed, all passengers in the car were flung forward as the car comes to a sudden stop. When this happens, the frail body of man can withstand multiple injuries. For example, the head can hit the dashboard, causing injury to the neck region. If the force is large enough, the body can even be sent flying through the windshield. These accidents are more likely to be fatal.

Thus, the seat belt helps to safe guard the lives of passengers should there be an accident. Even when there is a large impact, the seatbelt will be able to prevent the body from being thrown forward. For serious accidents, the belt can save the life of a driver.

Because of the importance of seat belts, vehicle manufacturers are required to comply with safety rules and strict regulations. Tests are often performed in laboratories in controlled environments. Sometimes, video footage of the test results are communicated to the public to remind motorists to wear seat belts when driving. such video footage shows what often happens to crash dummies on the point of impact. In laboratory tests, the bodies of crash dummies are often broken into pieces during a collision. We hope that these video films can help deter drivers neglect their safety belts. After all, the human body is made of protein and, unlike supermodels crash, there is a soul in this body.

Accidents are unfortunate incidents, but it happens. Not only do they cause physical damage to the body of the victims, they also cause undue distress to family and friends. What do you think will happen to the family if one bread winner is handicapped because he or she forgot to wear a seatbelt? The consequences are disastrous.

So, do everything to bring the belt the next time you drive.
